Its about time Houston started churning out cool bands.
And thats exactly what Female Demand is. A cool band.
They are a two piece drums and bass instrumental combo that strays from the expected spazziness of bands like Lightning Bolt and bites more into the synthy rockbeat groove patterns of bands like Death From Above 1979. And apparently these dudes have a habit of dressing in wacky costumes. When I saw them at the last Westheimer Block Party, they were dressed in bumble bee and banana costumes! RAD!
