The Goods are from Houston. But I won’t hold that against them!
I saw these dudes at the 2008 Northgate Music Festival. They were hands down the
best band of the whole show. Must have been a fluke that they got “selected” to play.
I guess right around that time Mia Kat Empire picked them up and started distributing
their self released CD “Makin’ The Sound” and Matt from Mia Kat was rad enough to send us a copy.
Now down to business.
Bonus Point 1: These dudes recorded this record themselves at their house.
Bonus Point 2: The recordings are blown out in the best possible way. I LOVE blown out recordings and it really gives the songs the power in the headphones that they had when I saw them live. Nice and RAW!
Bonus Point 3: Lots of “whooo whooo” vocals.
Bonus Point 4: Catchy, Heavy, Bluesy, Artsy, Soulful, Rockin, Raw. And none too much of any of those individual things to be lame.
