Welcome (back) to fucking B/C.S
By Dick Dastardly

First off, let me just say what the fuck? Ride at Anchor, body karate, and, the Texas Drag Queens. And to top it all off at the newly reopened Stafford Opera House. That’s right assholes, it’s back.

The glorious night that your most gracious of narrators is speaking of was Saturday July 12. That’s last Saturday for you dipshits that can’t read a calender. Best go get you some learning.

As I walked into the remodeled Stafford I was greeted by a beautiful and smart door girl who kindly and politely took my last five dollar bill.

I made my way around to say my heys and hellos, as the guys from Ride at Anchor set up their gear on what is possibly the best stage in town. I was ready for the slow assault of stoner metal that was about to make me want to smoke some…

If you haven’t seen this band you should be smacked vary hard. It should be hard, painful, and maybe leave a mark or scar of some kind.

Because that is basically what this band is about. They are like a Mike Tyson slap in slow motion. It’s just a good kick in the balls.

They are definitely for those who are in the know, if you don’t get it then you should not be allowed to vote.

Now the next band I have only seen twice but both times I have been amazed. I’m talking the one, the only, mother fucking Body Karate. I know ladies. Calm down. Go change you undergarments.

I hate to say it but they are screamo for grown ups. They were spot on with every note. This band makes me want to wear funny clothes, oh wait I already do.

And last but not least (drum roll please): The Texas Drag Queens. let me say it like one of Jessie ex- girlfriends ” aaaaaahhhhh what, drugs.” just kidding or am I? These guys are made for the big stage and huge sound. To date this was the best performances from this outfit that I have seen yet.

So in conclusion it was a bloody good night. I got to see three must-see local acts, who all put on top notch performances. Say a proper good riddance to a couple great friends (see u around Phalis). And hang out with the people that keep me from offing myself with copious amounts of narcotics.

See you in that dark ally in Northgate. Rise up.

Yours,
Dick Dastardly Esq.
A.K.A. the guy passed out in your closet, when are you coming home. Im waiting…
